Cost sheet

Build the whole cost, not the headline

The smallest number on the page is often the least useful one. Put every moving part on the same monthly line.

The current range is wide

As of September 2026, the brand-name GLP-1 medicines (the family that includes Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound) had no single price.

The same box ran from $25 a month, for someone with private insurance who qualified for the maker’s savings card, up to about $1,390 a month, the highest discount-card price seen at one pharmacy.

Most people will land somewhere between those two numbers. Where you land depends on whether you qualify for a discount, your dose, the pharmacy, and how you pay: through insurance, with a discount card, or in cash. Ask for a written price for your own case.

Put these lines in the total

Many online weight-care programs separate a recurring membership charge from the price of medication.

If you pay cash instead of going through insurance, that money will not count toward your insurance deductible or your yearly out-of-pocket limit.

A current price can age fast

Several cash offers and savings-card terms recorded in September 2026 run only through December 31, 2026.

Ask what the normal charge becomes after the offer ends. Save the written terms, not just a screenshot of the headline.
